Whenever possible we aim to acknowledge an initial request for Research or Searches within 14 working days of receipt by the Research Officer. One request per member/non-member at any one time and enquirers must await a reply before sending another request. Research assistance is subject to the availability and workload of the Research Officer. Therefore at times there may be delays in completing research.

All research and searches are carried out in good faith and every effort is made to provide accurate information, however the Society cannot be held responsible for any mistakes made in transcription.

It may be that we do not hold the relevant records/information for a search to be carried out, in such a case the fee would be refunded.
