1841 Census Surname Analysis.The Society is fortunate in that the whole of the 1841 Census for the area covered by the society, has been combined into a single database. This has meant that we can offer a Census search for any surname or specific surname and forename. An additional benefit is that we have been able to extract all the names appearing in the Census and count them. Comparison of Populations in 1841 and 1851 for each township. The top ten names were.
